Visual representation of designs and parts are an important part of creating a final product. Students working toward CAD specialization will be able to create technical drawings and models both by hand and using software.

• Be able to interpret given technical drawings
• Be able to measure parts in order to recreate them digitally
• Be able to create basic 3D models using Onshape
• Be able to create rough hand sketches of designs that convey ideas

• Complete Stage 1 of FRC Design Learning Course
• Be able to create multiview drawings of models using Onshape
• Be able to create assemblies using Onshape
• Be able to create basic 2D custom models
• Know robot design restrictions from rulebook (needs to be demonstrated each year)

• Be able to create custom models independently
• Be able to use technical drawings to fabricate parts independently
• Be able to guide/teach others on how to use CAD software
